GET MOA

I grew up on the East Bench in Salt Lake City ,Utah and have been creative for as long as i can remember. You see, I see words as pictures. I remember a painting in my room of a clown that bothered me for some reason. Not enough to want it removed though. Over the years I grew to love the painting! It was not until years later that I learned that the artist was BERNARD BUFFET. I soon started searching for more of his work and soon he was my favorite artist! As i worked in the auto paint industries I would go to his website to view art. My good friend Richard McNeil also liked his work. I began doing some paintings in my living room for something to do while richard would pull up his web site.Rich would always say that I should meet him before or because he was still alive. And a couple of days later Rich discovered that BERNARD BUFFET had commited suicide. Evidently he had Parkinsons Disease and it got so bad he could not paint anymore so he ended his life. Upon this discovery we also found out that BERNARD and myself shared the same birthdate and that almost to the day that he died I began painting! A chill ran up my back and since then I believe that i picked up where he let off. I have always known that I am an artist in every sense of the word. I feel a connection to Bernard Buffet.
